Canberra: Day 3
Friday was day 3 of the National Forum. By midday the meetings were finished and ambassadors started rushing off to catch flights back to their home states.

Our third and last day in Canberra started off with a quick breakfast before we headed to our first meeting. We caught a bus to the University of Canberra and we got to meet with their rural team. We spoke to Phil O’Connor, a researcher at the uni, and then had a tour around their beautiful campus.
We had a video call with Members of the National School Resourcing Board who explore possible funding models for rural and remote communities. We told them our ideas for improving mental health support in schools, and our idea of schools working together to share resources.
After our meeting, we started saying goodbye to many Rural Youth Ambassadors as they departed for home. The remaining Rural Youth Ambassadors enjoyed some time in the Canberra CBD before eventually heading to the airport. We said the rest of our goodbyes, which broke our hearts. Going home tired and exhausted, but feeling accomplished.
